Samsung usually sticks to typical designs when it comes to its mid-range phones. The company recently went for bezel-less displays for its high-end phones and looks like they will be bringing it’s popular ‘Infinity Display’ to its Galaxy A series as well starting with the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2018). It is possible that the Galaxy A7 and A9 2018 versions will also get similar displays. Nothing has been officially announced yet so are mostly depending on rumors for now. Before we get to all the details we learned from the rumor mill, let’s check out the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2018) Nigeria price first. It’s expected to be around ₦ 141600 if not more.
While most of the phones with bezel-less displays are going for a 5.9 or 6-inch display, the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2018) is rumored to show up with a 5.5-inch screen. It will be showing 2160 x 1080 pixels resolution and 439ppi of pixel density. It’s a big boost from its predecessor and the display will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass as well. Although it will be the ‘Infinity Display’ we will get in this 2018 version phone, it will be IP68 certified just like the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017). We don’t know the exact dimensions of this phone yet and probably will have to wait for the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2018) release date Nigeria to find out.
There is nothing new to look forward to here. From what we have learned so far, things will be the same megapixel-wise. We won’t be getting dual cameras anytime soon and it will be just a 16-megapixel camera on the back and also a 16-megapixel camera on the front. Both the cameras now come with f/1.8 and other features like LED flash, face detection and geo-tagging. We will be able to compare the camera with other phones like the OnePlus 3T and Asus Zenfone 3 once the phone is officially here. These phones are almost in the same price range as the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2018) Nigeria price.
A bigger battery is necessary for a phone with a larger display and thankfully we get one in the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2018). It will be powered by a 3300mAh Li-Ion battery with fast battery charging support. It’s not too big and we will have to wait for its official release to find out more about its battery life. Other things we have learned about the phone so far: ANT+ support, fingerprint sensor, USB 2.0 port, Type-C 1.0 reversible connector, NFC, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, Exynos 7880 octa-core processor, 32GB built-in storage and 4GB of RAM. You can look for the Asus Zenfone Max (2016) and Lenovo Vibe p1 if you want a phone with big battery.
The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2018) is not expected to show up anytime soon before January, 2018.
